An American professional wrestler, rap music artist and actor, John Cena was born on born April 23, 1977. John Cena belongs to an Italian family. In addition to other titles in the ring, John Cena also won World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Championship. Before becoming a professional wrestler, John Cena was a body builder and he was also a football player in his college. John Cena earned his degree in exercise physiology from the Springfield College.

John Cena started his wrestling career in the year 2000 at the California-based Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) where he created the character ‘The Prototype’. Later he joined Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) group. He further signed a bigger contract offered him by ‘WWE’.

On June 27, 2002 John had his first televised WWE match against Kurt Angle. The match was not so exiting and WWE turned him into a rapper. Further, in 2004 Cena's popularity began to increase. Same year,at March's WrestleMania XX John Cena defeated The Big Show to win the WWE United States Championship. In April 2005 Cena seized the WWE Championship at Wrestle Mania 21, beating out JBL.


In 2005, Cena was named #2 on the PWI top 500 wrestlers list. His first major movie role is in “The Marine”, produced by WWE Films. Cena is a rap music artist. He does hip hop concerts and albums part time. His debut album ‘You Can't See Me’ features his current entrance theme "My Time is Now".
